Task Calendar GUID (task field)

Data Type    Text (text field: A type of field whose content is text. Examples include the Task Name and Email Address fields. This field can contain up to 255 characters.)

Entry Type    Calculated (calculated field: A field in which the value is determined by Project based on information in other fields. Project may recalculate the value automatically or when you specify, depending on your choice of calculation settings.)

Description    The Task Calendar GUID field contains the generated unique identification codes for each task calendar in your project. No two task calendars will have the same Task Calendar GUID.

How Calculated    As soon as you assign a calendar to a task (task: An activity that has a beginning and an end. Project plans are made up of tasks.), Microsoft Office Project 2007 automatically creates a task calendar along with its unique identifier. This identifier is stored in the Task Calendar GUID field.

Best Uses    Insert the Task Calendar GUID column into a task sheet when you need to see the unique identifier for each task calendar. This is particularly useful to help with programming and debugging custom applications in Office Project 2007.

Example    You are creating a macro that references specific resource calendars in your project. To obtain the unique identifiers for these calendars, you insert the Task Calendar GUID column into the Task Sheet.
