You can rename a project that is saved on your local computer, or you can rename a project that is saved on Microsoft Office Project Server 2007.
Rename a local project
- Click Open
.
- In the Look in list, select the drive or folder that contains the project that you want to rename.
- In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the project that you want to rename.
- Right-click the project that you want to rename, and then click Rename on the shortcut menu.
Note You cannot rename a project that is currently open.
- Type the new project name, and then press ENTER.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Open to open the project.
- Click Cancel to close the dialog box.
Rename a project saved on the server
- Click Open
.
- In the Look in list, select Enterprise Projects.
- Double-click Retrieve the list of all projects from Project Server.
- Right-click the project that you want to rename, and then click Rename on the shortcut menu.
- Type the new project name, and then press ENTER.
Note You cannot rename a project that is currently open.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Open to open the project.
- Click Cancel to close the dialog box.
