Post Implementation Review Date (project field)

The Post Implementation Review Date field indicates when the Post Implementation Review meeting was or will be held. This field is controlled by the workflow (A workflow represents the structured governance process for projects to proceed through lifecycle phases. An organization's project workflow can be modeled and controlled through the demand management features in Project Web Access.).

Data Type    Date (date field: A type of field whose content is a date. Examples include the Baseline Start and Early Finish fields.)

Entry Type    Entered (entered field: A field in which you may type or edit information. This is in contrast with a calculated field, in which Project calculates and enters information.)

Best Uses    Post-implementation review is the last of 14 suggested workflow stages. The review can be a lessons-learned or “post-mortem” meeting with project team members, or it can be an individual assessment of the project by the project manager. Add the Post Implementation Review Date field to a proposal when you want to include the date of the post-implementation review as part of a project proposal. This provides useful information for the Portfolio Analysis process.

Example    You are proposing a project to develop a Web-based customer service solution. You add the Post Implementation Review Date field to the proposal and enter the date you have already scheduled for the post-implementation review meeting.

Remarks    This field is an example of a custom date field provided with Microsoft Project Server. You can view a list of available custom fields, and also create your own. In the left pane of Microsoft Project Web Access, click Server Settings. Under Enterprise Data, click Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables.
