Change column titles in sheet views

  1. In any sheet (sheet: A spreadsheet-like representation [in rows and columns] of task or resource information. Each row specifies an individual task or resource. Each column [field] specifies a type of information, such as start dates or standard rates.) view, such as the Gantt Chart view or Task Usage view, double-click the column heading whose text you want to change.
  2. In the Title box, type a new column heading for the field.
  3. In the Align title box, click the alignment you want to use for the column heading.
  4. In the Align data box, click the alignment you want to use for the text in the column heading.
  5. In the Width box, type or select the width you want the column to be or click Best Fit to automatically adjust the column width to fit the longest information in any cell.
  6. If you don't want the text to wrap in the column heading, clear the Header text wrapping check box.
