Show, hide, or change the list of recently used presentations

The list of most recently used presentations appears at the bottom of the File menu and at the top of the New Presentation task pane (task pane: A window within an Office application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.) (File menu, New command).

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab.
  2. Under General Options, do one of the following:
    • To display or hide the list, select or clear the Recently used file list check box.
    • To change the number of presentation files that you want displayed, click the arrows to select a number.

Note  The setting you select applies to Microsoft PowerPoint but not to any other Office programs.
