Check the spelling of text in another language
 
  1. Select the text you want to check.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Language.
  3. In the Mark selected text as box, click the language the text is written in, and then click OK.
  4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to mark all the text in other languages that you want to check.
  5. On the Standard toolbar, click Spelling Button image.

ShowTips

  • To change the default language dictionary to another language, select that language in the Mark selected text as box, and then click Default.
  • If you want to see if text has been marked as a specific language, select the text you want to check, and then check the language indicator in the status bar at the lower-right corner of the Microsoft PowerPoint window. For example, if you have marked the selected text as Italian, the language indicator displays Italian (Italy).
