Change your Web start page

Applies to: Microsoft Office Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Word 2003

Open the file you want to use as the home page or start page (start page: The first page that appears when you start a Web browser. You can set this to a Web site or to a document on your computer's hard disk. A start page can contain hyperlinks to other documents on your computer, on a network, or on the Web.).
If the Web toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.) is not displayed, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Web.
On the Web toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.), click Go, and then click Set Start Page.
Click Yes.

Notes

When you change the start page by using the Web toolbar, the new start page is also used by your other Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
If you cannot open the page you want to use from your Office program, you can change this setting in most Web browsers (browser: Software that interprets HTML files, formats them into Web pages, and displays them. A Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, can follow hyperlinks, transfer files, and play sound or video files that are embedded in Web pages.).
