You can align objects several ways with Microsoft PowerPoint:
With other objects, such as when you align the sides, middles, or top or bottom edges of objects.
In relation to the entire slide— for example, at the top or left edge of a slide.
By using guides (guides: Nonprinting straight lines, both horizontal and vertical, used to visually align objects.) to align them visually.
By using the grid (grid: A set of intersecting lines used to align objects.) to align them with a corner of the grid as you draw or move the objects.
By distributing objects so they are equal distances from each other— either vertically or horizontally, or in relation to the entire slide.
