Change the orientation of all slides in a presentation

Important  By default, PowerPoint slide layouts are set up for landscape orientation. PowerPoint supports either landscape or portrait slide orientation in one presentation, but not both in the same presentation.

To change the orientation of all slides in a presentation, do the following:

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.

  2. Under Orientation for Slides, select Portrait or Landscape, and then click OK.

  3. Save the presentation.

Note  If you want to include some portrait slides in a landscape-based presentation  — or the other way around  — there is a workaround method. To understand this method, see Use portrait and landscape slide orientation in the same presentation.
