Using WordArt to produce special text effects

In a Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2003, Microsoft Office Word® 2003, Microsoft Office Excel® 2003, or Microsoft Office FrontPage® 2003 document you can add unusually formatted text—for example, curved, slanted, or three-dimensional text—by inserting a WordArt object. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click WordArt.
2. In the WordArt Gallery dialog box, double-click the style you want.

   

3. In the Edit WordArt Text dialog box, type your text and select the desired font and size.

   

   Click the Bold or Italic button to make all text bold or italic. (You can’t apply bold or italic to a selected portion of the text.)

 Note   Whenever a WordArt object is selected, the WordArt toolbar appears. If this toolbar isn’t visible, you can view it by pointing to Toolbars on the View menu, and then clicking WordArt.

Using the WordArt toolbar

The following table describes what each toolbar button does. To see the name of a toolbar button in a ScreenTip (ScreenTip: A short description that appears when the user holds the mouse pointer over an object, such as a button or hyperlink.), rest your mouse pointer on the button.
