Use Numbered Lists in PowerPoint 2000 Presentations

When you're pressed for time and space in a presentation, a numbered list can be worth a thousand words. You can apply numbering to text in the outline, slide, or notes panes in PowerPoint® 2000. Numbering can be especially useful in the notes pane, where you enter supporting text for viewers of Web presentations.

The procedure for adding numbering to text in PowerPoint is similar to that in Microsoft Word. To quickly add numbering to a list, select the text or placeholder, and then click Numbering on the Formatting toolbar.

To choose from a variety of numbering styles (including letters and Roman numerals), or to change the color, size, or starting number of the list, on the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, and then click the Numbered tab.
