Run a macro

If you created a macro (macro: An action or a set of actions that you can use to automate tasks. Macros are recorded in the Visual Basic for Applications programming language.) to automate a task in a version of PowerPoint earlier than Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 and you want to continue to run the macro in Microsoft PowerPoint2010, do the following:

 Important    If you want to create or edit a macro, you must use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) (Visual Basic for Applications (VBA): A macro-language version of Microsoft Visual Basic that is used to program Microsoft Windows-based applications and is included with several Microsoft programs.).

  1. On the Developer tab, in the Code group, click Macros.

  2. In the Macro dialog box, under Macro name, select the macro that you want, and then click Run.
