You can replace a picture in a 2007 Microsoft Office system document with another picture, or you can delete the picture.

Replace a picture
Do the following for all programs listed in the Applies To at the top of the article.
- Click the picture that you want to replace.
- Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, click Change Picture.
- Locate a new picture, and then double-click it.

Replace a picture used as a slide background
Applies only to Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
- Click the slide that you want to replace the background picture for.
To select multiple slides, click the first slide, and then press and hold CTRL while you click the other slides.
- On the Design tab, in the Background group, click Background Styles, and then click Format Background.
- Click Fill, and then click Picture or texture fill.
- Do one of the following:
- To replace the background picture with a picture from a file, click File, locate the picture that you want to insert, and then double-click it.
- To replace the background picture with a picture that you copied, click Clipboard.
- To replace the clip art (clip art: A single piece of ready-made art, often appearing as a bitmap or a combination of drawn shapes.) that is used as a background picture, click Clip Art, and then in the Search text box, type a word or phrase that describes the clip (clip: A single media file, including art, sound, animation, or movies.) that you want, or type all or part of the file name of the clip.
To include clip art that is available on Microsoft Office Online in your search, select the Include content from Office Online check box, click Go, and then click the clip to insert it.
Tip To adjust a picture's relative lightness (brightness) or the difference between its darkest and lightest areas (contrast), in the Format Background dialog box, click the Picture pane, and then choose the options that you want.

Delete a picture
Do the following for all programs listed in the Applies To at the top of the article.
- Click the picture that you want to delete, and then press DELETE.
To delete multiple pictures, press and hold CTRL while you click the pictures that you want to delete, and then press DELETE.
Tip You can also use this procedure to delete clip art (clip art: A single piece of ready-made art, often appearing as a bitmap or a combination of drawn shapes.) in a 2007 Office release document.

Delete a picture used as a slide background
Applies only to Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
- Click the slide that you want to delete the background picture for.
To select multiple slides, click the first slide, and then press and hold CTRL while you click the other slides.
- On the Design tab, in the Background group, click Background Styles, and then click Reset Slide Background.
