Move to a slide anywhere in (and during) a slide show

As you deliver your presentation, here is how to move from one slide to the next, move to a previous slide, or move to a specific slide anywhere in the presentation.

What do you want to do?

Move to the next slide

  • In Slide Show view, click once anywhere on the slide to move to the next slide.

Note   If you incorporate custom animation effects to text or objects in your slides, clicking on the slide one or more times can start animation effects, rather than moving to the next slide. Follow the procedure (in this topic) to move to a specific slide to avoid triggering the animation effect.

Move to the previous slide

  • In Slide Show view, right-click the slide, and then click Previous on the shortcut menu.

Note   If you incorporate custom animation effects to text or objects in your slides, clicking Previous can reverse the sequence in which animation effects appear, rather than moving to the previous slide. Follow the procedure (in this topic) to move to a specific slide to avoid triggering the animation effect.
