The small print: headers and footers

Options for headers and footers in notes and handouts

Options on the Notes and Handouts tab apply to all note, handout, and outline pages.
Callout 1 For printouts, there's an option for header text as well as footer text.
Callout 2 The URL of the presentation or name of the presenting team might be likely footer text for a handout.
Callout 3 The small print appears on all four corners of the page.

All other header and footer options are on the Notes and Handouts tab of the Header and Footer dialog box.

The headers and footers on printouts are additional to the footers on your slides. For example, if you show slide numbers on the slides, those still show on a handout. If you want to show page numbers on the handout, those show in the bottom right of the page.

One extra option that you have for headers and footers on printouts is a Header option for text, in addition to the Footer option. And, the headers and footers appear in the four corners of a page, not just at the bottom or top.

Also, the settings here apply to all printouts. The single choice of Apply to All puts them on every page of your notes, handout, or outline.
