Features that are lost when you open a presentation created in an earlier version of PowerPoint in PowerPoint 2007

Because the following features are not supported in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, if you save a file that contains data associated with these features in Office PowerPoint 2007, the data will be permanently lost:

  • Presentation broadcast (presentation broadcast: A feature that allows you to run a presentation over the Web. The presentation is saved in HTML format and can contain audio and video. It can also be recorded and saved to be viewed later.)
  • Microsoft Script Editor (Microsoft Script Editor: Used to add text, edit HTML tags, and edit any Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) code in a data access page. You can also view your page in the Script Editor as it would appear in a Web browser.)
  • Publish (publish: To save a copy of a file in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format to a Web server.) and subscribe
  • Send for Review
