Change the line spacing of a paragraph

  1. On the slide, select the paragraphs (paragraph: Text that has a carriage return (hard return) at the end of it, such as when you press ENTER. Each item in a bulleted or numbered list is a paragraph; a title or subtitle is also a paragraph.) whose spacing you want to change.

  1. On the Format menu, click Line Spacing.
  2. Do any or all of the following:
    • To change the spacing above and within a paragraph, under Line spacing, type or click the arrows to change the number.
    • To change the spacing above a paragraph, under Before paragraph, type or click the arrows to change the number.
    • To change the spacing below a paragraph, under After paragraph, type or click the arrows to change the number.
