If you want to change the default page orientation for notes, handouts, and outlines from Portrait to Landscape, do so in the Page Setup dialog box.
The default page orientation for notes, handouts, and outlines is portrait. You can change this in print preview any time you're about to print. But if you'd like the page orientation to always be landscape, change the default orientation setting. You do so by clicking Page Setup on the File menu. Notes, handouts, and outline types share a setting.
Note and warning You'll see the option to change the default page orientation for slides, too, from landscape to portrait. This setting applies to all slides; you can't choose it for one slide. It applies to the slides in your show and how they're projected as well as to your printouts. Because changing slide orientation often results in distortion of slide elements, it's best to leave this setting at Landscape.
The same is true for the other settings in this dialog box, which relate to the default slide size for slides. These settings affect all your slides in the show, not just the printout. It's best to leave this setting as On-screen show, with the default dimensions.
