Each report that is published on a PerformancePoint dashboard has
its own Help documentation. For that reason, a published dashboard offers several Help options, one for each type of
report that it contains. You can have two or more Help options on any PerformancePoint dashboard.
The demo at the bottom of this page shows an example of a PerformancePoint dashboard that has access to three kinds of Help.
What kind of Help do you need?
Dashboard Viewer for SharePoint Services Help
Each report on a dashboard has a Help icon
. It may be readily visible in the title bar of the report, as in the first example below, or you may need to click a drop-down box to reach it, as in the second example below. If you have a question about a
PerformancePoint report that appears on a dashboard, click the
Help icon
for the specific report that you are interested in.

Visio Help
If you are working in a strategy map and have questions about how to use the strategy map toolbar, or if you are working in Visio itself, click the Visio Help icon on the strategy map toolbar. This opens Help for Visio Viewer 2007 or Microsoft Office Visio 2007, depending on which one is installed on your computer.

Excel Services Help
If you are working with an Excel Services report and have questions about how to use Excel Services, click the Help icon that is on the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 toolbar. This opens Help for Office Excel 2007.

Help
If you need help with Office SharePoint Server 2007 or Windows SharePoint Services while you are working with a PerformancePoint dashboard, click the Help icon
that is next to your user name at the top of the Web page. This opens Help for Office SharePoint Server 2007 or Windows SharePoint Services, depending on which one is installed on your computer.
