Microsoft has established a product migration path for existing ProClarity customers who are current on maintenance to migrate their legacy products to the new ProClarity 6.3 version, which is now available through Microsoft Volume Licensing.

Can customers purchase Software Assurance for new ProClarity 6.3 product licenses?
Yes. Customers with an active ProClarity maintenance agreement at the time of the acceptance of this offer between March 1, 2007 and June 30, 2007, or as of June 30, 2007, may enroll their ProClarity 6.3 licenses into Software Assurance by the later of June 30, 2007 or 90 days from the expiration of their ProClarity support and maintenance agreement.
Can customers use an earlier version of the ProClarity 6.3 software?
Yes. In lieu of the version licensed under the ProClarity 6.3 licenses, customers may use an earlier version of the software. For any version prior to ProClarity 6.3, media may not be available through Microsoft Volume Licensing.
How can ProClarity 6.3 customers migrate to Business Scorecard Manager 2005?
Customers who purchase ProClarity 6.3 licenses or receive ProClarity 6.3 licenses under Software Assurance are eligible to receive a 1-for-1 grant of equivalent Server, CAL, or External Connector licenses of Business Scorecard Manager 2005 at no additional licenses cost.
Do customers have to purchase Software Assurance for Business Scorecard Manager 2005 licenses granted to existing ProClarity 6.3 users?
Yes. Software Assurance must be purchased separately. It is not included in the migration licenses grant.
How can Business Scorecard Manager 2005 customers migrate to ProClarity 6.3?
Customers who purchase Business Scorecard Manager 2005 licenses are eligible to receive a 1-for-1 grant of equivalent Server, CAL, or External Connector licenses of ProClarity 6.3 at no additional licenses cost.
If a customer purchases ProClarity 6.3 and also receives a Business Scorecard Manager 2005 license, does that mean they can migrate to two Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 licenses?
No. The license grant specifies that a customer that purchases a ProClarity 6.3 license can only migrate to one Office PerformancePoint 2007 license.

Yes. The previous promotion provided a discount for purchasing two separate products at the same time, specifically ProClarity 6.2 and Business Scorecard Manager 2005. Each of these individual products is eligible to migrate to an Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 license at no additional license cost. The license grants associated with purchasing ProClarity 6.3 are different and cannot be migrated to two Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 licenses.
How can Business Scorecard Manager 2005 customers acquire ProClarity 6.3 Desktop Professional?
Business Scorecard Manager 2005 customers will have to purchase ProClarity 6.3 Desktop Professional separately. Licenses to ProClarity 6.3 Desktop Professional are not included in the migration license grant.

Customers with Business Scorecard Manager 2005 licenses, ProClarity 6.3 licenses, or both licenses will be entitled to a 1-for-1 license grant of the equivalent Server, CAL, or External Connector license of Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 at no additional license cost.
What extra steps do customers have to take in order to receive these product licenses under the migration policy?
Customers do not need to take any additional steps to receive these product license grants. The license grants are made concurrent with the product purchase.
How will customers who migrate to or purchase the ProClarity Analytics Desktop Professional 6.3 get access to the ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3?
Customers who license ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 will be deemed to have one ProClarity Server 6.3 CAL, which will allow the user to work with the server product.
