Find text in an open item
 
  1. With the item (item: An item is the basic element that holds information in Outlook (similar to a file in other programs). Items include e-mail messages, appointments, contacts, tasks, journal entries, notes, posted items, and documents.) open, on the Edit menu, click Find.
  2. In the Find what box, type the text you want to find.
  3. Select any other options you want.
  4. Click Find Next until you find the occurrence you're looking for.
