Save an item as a file

Click the
item
(item: An item is the basic element that holds information in Outlook (similar to a file in other programs). Items include e-mail messages, appointments, contacts, tasks, journal entries, notes, posted items, and documents.)
you want to save as a file.
On the
File
menu, click
Save As
.
In the
Save in
list, click the location where you want to save the file.
In the
File name
box, type a name for the file.
In the
Save as type
list, click the file type you want.
