View certificates
 

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 uses certificates in cryptographic e-mail messaging to help keep communications secure. You can view your own certificates or those you receive in e-mail messages.

View your certificates

  1. On the Tools menu, click Trust Center.
  2. Click E-mail Security.
  3. Under Encrypted e-mail, click Settings.
  4. Under Certificates and Algorithms, click Choose.
  5. Click the certificate you want, and then click View Certificate.

View certificates on received messages

  1. In the message, click Signed Button image or Encrypted Button image on the Signed by line.
  2. Click Details.
  3. Click Signer or Encryption Layer, and then click View Details. A dialog box is displayed with general information about the certificate.
  4. To see details about the certificate, click View Certificate.
