Depending on the accounting system (accounting system: The accounting program.) you are using, you must use it to integrate your financial data with Business Contact Manager for Outlook, or you can use Business Contact Manager for Outlook to connect to your accounting system. The version of your accounting system determines the connection method to use to access its financial data.
The following options may be available in the Set Up Connection to Accounting System dialog box:
Use your accounting program to connect
We recommend that you use your accounting program to integrate and exchange data between your accounting system and Business Contact Manager for Outlook. For more information about how to integrate the data, see Help in your accounting system.
To use your accounting program to connect, click Close to close the Set Up Connection to Accounting System dialog box, and then open your accounting system and locate the instructions about how to integrate your accounting system with Business Contact Manager for Outlook.
Your accounting program is Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006
If your accounting system is Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006, which is available only in the United States, you can only connect to your accounting system by using the Set Up Connection to Accounting command in Business Contact Manager for Outlook. If you are using any other accounting system, use its command to connect.
To connect to Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006, click Connect, and then follow the instructions on your screen.
Note To access the Set Up Connection to Accounting System dialog box, on the Business Contact Manager menu, point to Accounting Tools, and then click Set Up Connection to Accounting.
