Don't prompt me for a profile
 

If you are prompted to specify a user profile (user profile: Settings that define customization preferences for a particular user, as well as personalized files such as custom dictionaries and AutoCorrect lists. The operating system uses these settings to configure your computer when you log on.) each time that you start Microsoft Outlook, and you want to use one profile routinely, you can specify that one profile is used each time you start Outlook.

  1. Open the Mail Setup dialog box.

    • In Control Panel, double-click User Accounts, and then click Mail.

      Note  If you are using Control Panel classic view, double-click Mail.

    ShowIn Microsoft Windows 2000

    • In Control Panel, double-click Mail.
  2. Click Show Profiles.
  3. Do one of the following:

  • You cannot change to another profile while Outlook is running.
  • You have to restart Outlook to switch profiles.
