Search for flags of a specific color
 

Messages with flags of all colors automatically display in the For Follow Up Search Folder (Search Folders: Virtual folders that contain views of all e-mail items matching specific search criteria. The items remain stored in one or more Outlook folders.). To see messages with flags of one color only, you can either search for them or create a custom Search Folder. If you want to save your search results and use it again, create a custom Search Folder.

ShowSearch for flags of one color

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Find, and then click Advanced Find.
  2. Click the More Choices tab.
  3. Select the Only items which check box, and then click the have a color flag that you want.
  4. Click Find Now.

ShowCreate a custom Search Folder to find flags of one color

  1. In Mail, on the File menu, point to New, and then click Search Folder.
  2. Click Create a custom Search Folder.
  3. Under Customize Search Folder, click Choose.
  4. In the Custom Search Folder dialog box, type a name for your custom Search Folder.
  5. Click Criteria, and then click the More Choices tab.
  6. Select the Only items which check box, and then click the have a color flag that you want.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Browse, then select the folders that you want the search criteria to search, and then click OK three times.
