Troubleshoot Meeting Workspaces

ShowAttendees can't access the Meeting Workspace.

For information about attendees and rights, see Help in the workspace.

ShowMy meeting request doesn't have the same information as the Meeting Workspace.

If you made changes in the workspace or to a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services event that is linked to the workspace, those changes are not sent to Microsoft Outlook. For example, if you add or delete names in the Attendees list in the workspace, the changes are not sent to the meeting request in Outlook. However, if you add or delete attendees in the To box of the Outlook meeting request and then send (not save) the updates, Outlook will update the workspace.

ShowI deleted a workspace but the link is still in the meeting request.

Changes you make in the workspace are not sent to Microsoft Outlook. You must open the meeting request and remove the link from there.

ShowI received a message that I had been granted access to a Meeting Workspace, but the meeting time doesn't show on my Outlook Calendar.

The message you received may have been an automated invitation from the server where the workspace is located. These messages are not the same as Microsoft Outlook meeting requests and cannot update your Outlook calendar.

ShowI don't see a way to create a Meeting Workspace as a subsite to an existing Meeting Workspace.

This is not supported.

ShowI can't remove the workspace link. The Meeting Workspace task pane is disabled.

You may have opened one of the meetings in a recurring meeting series. Instead, you must open the meeting series, and then you can remove the link. However, once you remove the link, you can't link that workspace to any meeting request again. You can, however, link the original recurring meeting series to a different workspace.

ShowFormer delegates can still access the workspace.

You may have revoked the delegate's permissions only in Microsoft Outlook. To prevent that person from accessing the workspace, you must also delete their rights on the workspace.

ShowThe time zone setting in Outlook is different than the time zone used for the Meeting Workspace.

The workspace uses the time zone setting that was in effect at the time the workspace was created from Microsoft Outlook. If you subsequently change the time zone setting in Outlook, it will not change the time zone in the workspace. Conversely, if you change the time zone in the workspace, it will not change the setting in Outlook.
