Add Windows SharePoint Services data to your Calendar
 

ShowAdd Windows SharePoint Services calendar information

Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services event lists can be displayed in Microsoft Outlook, but must be created or edited directly on the Windows SharePoint Services site using your Web browser.

  1. If the Windows SharePoint Services folder has not been added to Outlook, add it to the Navigation Pane (Navigation Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.).

    ShowHow?

    1. In your Web browser, go to the Windows SharePoint Services calendar that you want to access within Outlook.
    2. Click Link to Outlook.
    3. When prompted, click Yes to add the Windows SharePoint Services calendar to Outlook.
  2. In Calendar, under Other Calendars, select a Windows SharePoint Services calendar check box.

    When you pause on the name of a Windows SharePoint Services calendar, the ScreenTip will append in SharePoint Folders to the name.

  3. In the Windows SharePoint Services calendar, open the calendar item you want.
  4. On the Actions menu, click Copy to personal calendar.

ShowUpdate Windows SharePoint Services calendar information

Microsoft Outlook can only read Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services information. Additions and changes to Windows SharePoint Services items must be done on the Windows SharePoint Services site using your Web browser. A link is included for each Windows SharePoint Services item in Outlook. This link allows you to quickly jump to the item location within the Windows SharePoint Services site.

  1. Open the Windows SharePoint Services item in Outlook.
  2. Double-click the address shown in the item.
  3. Make your changes in the Web browser window that appears.

Notes

  • The data in Outlook will update the next time Outlook connects to the Windows SharePoint Services site. To immediately refresh, right-click the Windows SharePoint Services folder in the Navigation Pane, and then click Refresh.
  • Windows SharePoint Services folders are not included in synchronization groups and are not available inSend/Receive Settings.
