Include a signature in a mobile message

Signatures allow you to personalize your messages for different situations. To include a signature in your mobile message, you first create it in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, and then configure the signature for your Outlook Mobile Service account. Each time you create a new mobile message or forward an Outlook item as a mobile message, you can add the signature to the message.

Configure a signature for Outlook Mobile Service account

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
  2. Click Signatures.
  3. On the E-mail Signature tab, under Choose default signature, in the E-mail account list, click the Outlook Mobile Service account that you want to use.
  4. If you want to include a signature in all your new text and multimedia messages, click the signature that you want from the New messages list. If not, click (none).

Note   Multimedia message functionality is not available to wireless service subscribers in the United States. The Outlook Mobile Service is restricted to text messages only in the United States.

  5. If you want to include a signature in mobile message replies and in forwarded mobile messages, click the signature that you want from the Replies/forwards list. If not, click (none).
  6. Click OK.

Note   If the signature includes an Electronic Business Card or pictures, they are added to the end of outgoing multimedia messages only, not to outgoing text messages. Text messages can use signatures that contain plain text only.
