About Slide Mode and
Non-slide Mode
Multimedia messages can use one of two
modes: Slide Mode and Non-slide Mode. Slide Mode
uses slides and consists of a few slides. A slide can have an image, a piece of
text, or an audio clip, or it can have a mixture of image, text, and audio.
Slides are automatically displayed on devices with a preset duration for the
display of each slide. You can choose from five layout options for your slides.
In Non-slide Mode, the images, text, and audio clips are presented on
mobile devices according to their encoded sequence in the message body, but not
in a slide format. The duration for display is not set for any part or page of
the multimedia message. Text in Non-slide Mode messages can be
scrolled up or down by pressing the up and down keys on the mobile device that
you are using. By using Non-slide Mode, you can send long pieces of
text to mobile devices and read them on the devices as well.
