Even when you are away from your computer, you can
respond to
your urgent e-mail messages in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007and keep up to date with your appointments by redirecting your Outlook items to your mobile phone. You can configure your Outlook Mobile Service account to forward the e-mails and calendar alerts that you want to your mobile phone.

Each redirection condition used by Outlook Mobile Service can be mapped to an equivalent
redirection condition in Outlook.

Redirect incoming messages to your mobile phone
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, under Mobile, click Notifications.
- Under Message Notification, select the Forward messages that meet all of the selected conditions check box.
- Select the conditions that you want.
- Type the numbers of the mobile phones to which you want messages to be forwarded in the Forward to mobile numbers box.
Outlook automatically creates a rule named "Redirect as Mobile Message (Auto-generated)" with the conditions that you selected. You can modify or delete this rule just like other Outlook rules.
- Click OK.

Redirect calendar alerts and summaries to your mobile phone
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, under Mobile, click Notifications.
- To send your Outlook reminders to your mobile phone, under Reminders and Calendar Summary, select the Send reminders to mobile phone check box.
- To send calendar summaries to your mobile phone, do the following:
- Under Reminders and Calendar Summary, select the Send next day's schedule to mobile phone at check box and from the drop-down list, choose the time when you want the calendar summary to be sent.
- Select the conditions that you want.
- Type the numbers of the mobile phones to which you want the reminders and the summaries to be sent in the Send to mobile numbers box.
Note The mobile phone numbers used for sending reminders and calendar summaries can be different from the mobile phone numbers to which you forward Outlook items.
- Click OK.

Change incoming message redirection conditions
If you want to change incoming message redirection conditions, do the following:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, under Mobile, click Notification.
- Under Message Notification,
change the conditions that you want.
- Click OK.
An alternate way is to change the corresponding Outlook conditions from the
Rules and Alerts
dialog box.
- On the Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.
- On the E-mail Rules tab, select
the Redirect as Mobile Message (Auto-generated) rule.
- Click Change Rule,
and then click Edit Rule Settings.
- Follow the instructions in the
Rules Wizard, and change the conditions that you want.
Note The changes that you make in the
Outlook Mobile Notification
dialog box
are reflected automatically in the
Redirect as Mobile Message (Auto-generated) rule. If you change the conditions by using the
Rules and Alerts
dialog box, the changes will be reflected automatically in the
Outlook Mobile Notification
dialog box.

Stop redirecting Outlook items to your mobile phone
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, under Mobile, click Notification.
- If you want to stop forwarding incoming messages to your mobile phone, clear the Forward messages that meet all of the selected conditions check box.
- If you want to stop forwarding reminders to your mobile phone, clear the Send Microsoft Office Outlook reminder to mobile phone check box.
- If you want to stop forwarding calendar summaries to your mobile phone, clear the Send next day's schedule to mobile phone at check box.
- Click OK.
