You can use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to send
text and multimedia messages to a mobile phone device as well as receive
messages from the device. To do so, you need to add and configure an Outlook
Mobile Service account.

Add an Outlook Mobile Service
account
- On the Tools menu, click
Account Settings.
- On the E-mail tab, click
New.
- Click Other,
and then click Outlook Mobile Service (Text Messaging) from the list
of server types.
- Click Next.
- Do one of the
following.
- Add a service provider
automatically
- Click Fill in this
information using Microsoft Office Online configuration.
- From
the Choose your wireless carrier's country/region list, click the
location in which you are subscribed to your wireless carrier.
- From
the Choose your current wireless carrier list, click the name of your
wireless carrier and follow the instructions provided by the wireless carrier
to create your account.
- Add a service provider manually
- Type the Web service address of your wireless carrier in
the Web Service Address
box.
- Under Logon Information, enter your user name in the
User ID box and your password in the Password
box.
- If you are the only user who works on your computer, you can
select the Remember password check box.
Note We recommend that you test your account by clicking the Test Account
Settings button.
- Click OK.
To begin
using your Outlook Mobile Service account to send mobile messages, exit and
restart Outlook.

Remove an Outlook Mobile Service account
- On the Tools menu, click Account
Settings.
- On the E-mail tab, select the Outlook
Mobile Service account that you want to remove, and then click
Remove.
- To confirm the removal of the account, click
Yes.
Note Removing an Outlook Mobile Service account does not
delete your account with your wireless carrier. It only affects your account
settings in Outlook.
