When you add a Microsoft Exchange account, you change where some of your new e-mail messages and calendar information are saved. These changes take effect the next time that you start Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
Effects of such a change
Rules A Rules in Conflict dialog box might appear the next time that you synchronize your mailbox or send an e-mail message. Because Outlook cannot save rules in multiple data files, you must decide whether you want to continue to save the rules on the server running Exchange, or to save them locally on your own computer. There is no way to merge multiple rule sets.
If you want to keep both rule sets, do the following:
In the Rules in Conflict dialog box, click Cancel.
You can now continue using the rules that are saved on your computer.
The next time that the Rules in Conflict dialog box appears, click Server. Doing so overwrites your local rules with the server's rules.
In Mail, on the Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts, click Options, and then click Import Rules.
Select the .rwz file that you created in step 1. The default location for the .rwz file is drive:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents.
Internet Calendar Subscriptions A folder in an Internet Calendar Subscription .pst file is created to synchronize the data on your computer with the data on the calendar publisher's Web site. When you add an Exchange account, enough information to synchronize your Internet Calendar Subscriptions is saved in your Exchange account, and so the subscription is available from any computer that you use to connect to your Exchange account. You have the option to save the Internet Calendar Subscription content on only one of your computers, but the information required for content synchronization is still saved to your Exchange account, even if not all of the computers that you use are synchronizing the content. By default, new Internet Calendar Subscriptions are synchronized by all of the computers that you use.
View settings Any links to Exchange calendars that you view in your Exchange account are available on all of the computers that you use to connect to your Exchange account.
Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
information Viewing the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 information works the same way that Internet Calendar Subscriptions do, except that it is much less likely that you would have access to any SharePoint content at home.
Color Categories Your official and personal color category lists are merged and stored on the server running Exchange.
Working Hours The working hours that you set for official purposes override the working hours that you set for personal purposes.
