Ask the Outlook community

Professionals sharing ideas in group

Why should I ask them?

Sometimes when you have a question, you'd rather ask someone for the answer than look it up. The Microsoft Office Outlook community includes lots of knowledgeable people you can turn to. Together, they make up an online group of experienced Outlook users, including Outlook Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), who willingly share their time to answer questions and to provide solutions, tips, and expertise.

Don't have 2007 Microsoft Office system yet?  Go to the 2007 Microsoft Office system preview site, and learn about the 2007 Office release and what you can do with Outlook 2007.

Visit the following sites to benefit from the community's experience and add to your own:

  • Someone in the community may have already answered your question. Ask your question to find out.
  • Outlook Discussion Groups help you dive right in and get answers from other users and experts.

Tip   Read the Crabby Office Lady's tips and tricks to get the most out of the Office discussion groups.

To get the most from newsgroup browsing, you can use the Netscan System tools to view graphical reports of individual newsgroup activity, statistical changes, and author profiles.

  • Technical chats at Microsoft are an opportunity to discuss technical issues with IT professionals and developers in Microsoft Office products.
  • Several blogs on MSDN offer you the chance to respond to the postings of program managers, developers, and others. Here are a few:
  • Codezone is where you can communicate with other developers about Microsoft products, technologies, and services. Share ideas with other experts about how to develop custom Office solutions.
  • Search for Outlook webcasts on the Microsoft Events page to find upcoming on-demand video presentations about Outlook.
  • Make a suggestion if you want to cast your vote for a new feature.
  • Suggest new Microsoft Office Online content if there is a topic we haven't covered, or send us an article to share with other Outlook users.
