Depending on your Inbox table (table: A view type that displays a list of items (rows) and their attributes (columns). Use this view to display details about items. You can also create custom views.) you do use, you can always group and sort your messages by using the Arrange By command on the View menu.

If you view your messages in multi-line layout, the Arranged By column heading is available at the top of your Inbox.

In multi-line layout, click Arranged By in the Inbox column heading for a list of predefined arrangements.

If you view your messages in single-line layout, you won't see Arranged By at the top of your Inbox; you must click Arrange By on the View menu.

Note  You can quickly switch between multi-line layout and single-line layout by making your Inbox wider, until the view in your Inbox changes from multi-line to single-line layout. Move it back again to return to multi-line layout.

To see the list of predefined arrangements in single-line layout, on the View menu, click Arrange By.
