Remove a Hotmail account from Outlook

If you no longer want to send and receive MSN® Hotmail® e-mail messages from within Outlook, the E-mail Accounts Wizard helps you quickly remove all Hotmail messages and folders from Outlook. After you remove your Hotmail e-mail account from Outlook, you can still use your Hotmail account with your Web browser.

Remove a Hotmail e-mail account

  1. In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
  2. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
  3. Click Hotmail, and then click Remove.
  4. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the account.
  5. Click Finish.
