See the contents of multiple folders at once

Applies to
Microsoft Outlook® 2002

When you want to view the contents of a folder, you click an icon in the Outlook Bar or a folder in the Folder List. But what if you want to see more than one folder at once?

Just like you can open multiple Web browser windows, you can view the contents of more than one folder using additional windows. For example, you can view your Inbox and Calendar at the same time.

  1. Switch to the first folder you want to open.
  2. In the Outlook Bar or the Folder List, right-click the next folder you want to open, and then click Open in New Window.
  3. Repeat the above steps for each folder you want to open. You can size or move windows as necessary to view their contents.

Tip   To see all of the windows at once, right-click the Microsoft Windows® taskbar, and then select one of the window-arranging options such as cascading or tiled windows.
