Set Word as your default e-mail editor in Outlook

With Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor in Outlook 2000, you can see spelling errors and alternative spellings as you work, insert tables, use themes, and take advantage of other Word features.

 Note    To use Word as your e-mail editor, you should have at least 16 megabytes (MB) of memory on your computer.

  1. In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
  2. Select the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
