Applies to
Microsoft Outlook® 2000

Would you like to be able to go to your favorite Web site at the touch of a button? Well, if you assign a Web page address to a custom toolbar button, you can. Here's how.

Assign a URL to a custom toolbar button

  1. Display the toolbar you want to add the custom toolbar button to. (On the View menu, point to Toolbars.)
  2. Add a button to the toolbar you want to customize. For help on this step, type add toolbar button in the Office Assistant or on the Answer Wizard tab in the Help window, and then click Search.
  3. On the Tools menu, click Customize.
  4. Right-click the toolbar button you added, point to Change Button Image on the shortcut menu, and then click the image you want.
  5. Right-click the toolbar button, point to Assign Hyperlink on the shortcut menu, and then click Open.
  6. In the Type the file or Web page name box, enter the URL or click Browse for Web Page to search for the Web site address.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Close.
