A great benefit of Delegate Access is that you can schedule "on behalf of" someone else. Most likely, this will be your boss. But this feature can also be handy when you're filling in for someone who's on vacation or on a leave of absence.
Although it may sound fancy, after you have the necessary permissions, creating and accepting meetings "on behalf of" somebody is almost like creating or accepting them for yourself.
