Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 uses certificates in cryptographic e-mail messaging to help keep communications secure. You can view your own certificates or those you receive in e-mail messages.

View your certificates
- On the Tools menu, click Trust Center.
- Click E-mail Security.
- Under Encrypted e-mail, click Settings.
- Under Certificates and Algorithms, click Choose.
- Click the certificate you want, and then click View Certificate.

View certificates on received messages
- In the message, click Signed
or Encrypted
on the Signed by line.
- Click Details.
- Click Signer or Encryption Layer, and then click View Details. A dialog box is displayed with general information about the certificate.
- To see details about the certificate, click View Certificate.
