Video: Delay sending email messages

The ease and speed of the Send button could lead to some embarrassing moments.

At one time or another, we have all had Send button remorse. A time sensitive message you were preparing in advance was accidentally sent early — surprise spoiled.

Or you send an email message and as soon as you click Send, you realize that you made a mistake or perhaps you should have worded something more diplomatically.

You can delay the delivery of an individual email message. You can also give yourself a few minutes to act after you click Send by using an Outlook rule to delay the delivery of all messages by having them held in the Outbox for a specified time.
