Troubleshoot Opportunity records

You can reopen a closed Opportunity record (Opportunity record: The location for storing Opportunity information, including information that is entered on the Opportunity form, linked records, and communication history items.) by resetting its sales stage.

To get assistance entering information on the Opportunity form, click Business Contact Manager Help on the Help menu on the form.

The following information on the Opportunity form (form: A way to collect and distribute information for items in Business Contact Manager for Outlook.) cannot be directly entered:

• The Total box in the Items section of the General tab is automatically filled according to the information you entered in that section.
• The information in the Source section of the Details tab is automatically filled when you create or modify the Opportunity.

The link between the history item (history item: An item such as an appointment, business note, e-mail message, file, or task that is linked to an Account, Business Contact, Opportunity, or Business Project.) and the Opportunity record (Opportunity record: The location for storing Opportunity information, including information that is entered on the Opportunity form, linked records, and communication history items.) has been broken. The item was moved to a new location or deleted. If you want to restore this link, you must link the history item to an Opportunity record again.

1. On the Go menu, click Folder List.
2. In the Folder List pane (folder list: Displays the folders available in your mailbox. To view subfolders, double-click the folder. If the Folder List is not available, click Folder List on the Go menu.) double-click Business Contact Manager.
