Remove an account from Outlook

If you no longer want to send and receive (formerly Hotmail) e-mail messages from within Outlook, the E-mail Accounts Wizard helps you quickly remove all messages and folders from Outlook. After you remove your e-mail account from Outlook, you can still use your account with your Web browser.

Remove an e-mail account

  1. In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
  2. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
  3. Click the account you want to remove, and then click Remove.
  4. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the account.
  5. Click Finish.
