This feature requires you to use a Microsoft Exchange account. Most home and personal accounts do not use Exchange.
- On the Tools menu, point to Send/Receive, and then click Download Address Book.
Notes
- If you want to send encrypted messages while offline, make sure to click Full details. When using a Cached Exchange e-mail account, the Address Book (Address Book: The collection of address books that you can use to store names, e-mail addresses, fax numbers, and distribution lists. The Address Book may contain a Global Address List, an Outlook Address Book, and a Personal Address Book.) is downloaded with full details by default, unless you are using a slow network.
- If you work offline but are connected to your network, or if you work with a dial-up connection, this command connects to the server, downloads the offline Address Book, and then disconnects.
