Keep track of birthdays and anniversaries

Right-click in the calendar to create a new recurring event

Callout 1 Right-click a day in the calendar.
Callout 2 Click New Recurring Event on the shortcut menu.

You may not have Outlook contacts for all the important people in your life. For example, you may not have created a contact for your spouse, but you certainly do want to remember your beloved's birthday. You can do this by entering an annual event into the calendar directly.

To enter a new recurring event, you would right-click the top of the appropriate day and select New Recurring Event.

This is the first step. Don't worry about remembering all these steps now. Just follow along to get a general idea of how it's done. You'll get a chance to walk through the process again in the practice session. The steps are also listed in the Quick Reference Card at the end of this course.
