Do not include original message in reply

By default, when you reply to an e-mail message, the original message text is included in the message body. You can turn off this feature so that none of the original message is included.

  1. In the main Microsoft Outlook window, on the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options.
  3. Under On replies and forwards, in the When replying to a message box, click Do not include original message.
