Create great-looking signatures for your e-mail

Signature with font and color applied

After you name your signature, you then get to create it. We've shown the steps for creating a simple signature here:

Callout 1 Type your text in the text box.
Callout 2 Specify some of the basic design elements of your signature, such as its font and font size.
Callout 3 Choose a color, if you want to.

To get a little fancy, you can use different formatting for different lines of your signature. Here we've made Pia Lund's name a different color from the rest of the text.

When you're satisfied with your basic signature, you click Save. That's all it takes to get your signature ready for prime time.

Modifying your signature

After you've created a signature, it's easy to modify it. If you want to make a change one time, for a particular message, simply modify the signature right in the message — make the change just as you would modify any other bit of text in your message. If you want to modify the saved signature, you'll need to return to the Signatures and Stationary dialog box and make your changes from there.
