Collapse or expand Favorites in the Navigation Pane

Favorites, located at the top of the Navigation Pane (Navigation Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.), contains shortcuts to folders that you frequently use. To increase the space available for your full folder list, you can collapse Favorites.

  • To collapse Favorites, in the Navigation Pane, next to Favorites, click Expanded icon.
  • To expand Favorites, in the Navigation Pane, next to Favorites, click Collapsed icon.

 Tip    If you don’t want to use Favorites, you can remove the section from the Navigation Pane. For more information, see Turn on or off Favorites in the Navigation Pane.
