Instant Search pane You cannot remove the Instant Search pane from the Microsoft Office Outlook window.

If you want to create more space in your message list or other Outlook views (view: Views give you different ways to look at the same information in a folder by putting it in different arrangements and formats. There are standard views for each folder. You can also create custom views.), you can try one or more of the following:

  • Minimize the Navigation Pane
  • Remove or customize the Navigation Pane
  • Remove or minimize the Favorite Folders Pane
  • Change how you preview messages
  • Remove the Reading Pane (sometimes known as the preview pane)
  • Customize your Mail, Calendar, Contacts, or other view
